~Beauty is Everywhere~

I live in one of the most beautiful places in the country. 

In almost every direction, I can see beautiful  brown mountains reminding me to stay grounded.  If I travel just a few hours, I can see beautiful plush green mountains reminding me to be free.  Sometimes there is snow on these mountains, leaving me in all of the contrast of colors and reminding me of where i came from.  Sometimes I’ll turn on a street where rows of trees rain lavender flowers   and I feel like I’ve just stepped in a fantasy.
I love being able to go to the ocean and not being able to tell where the sky ends and the water begins, seeing all this with the sand between my toes and Palm trees and mountains behind me.
I can go two hours away and see Alpine trees while I sniff in the smell of firewood and snow.  Or admire a cactus in the desert next to a rock of many layers.  
I love where I live.
I encourage everybody to find the beauty in their town and in their lives.  Go a step further than stopping and smelling the roses from time to time.   Get up early every now and then just to see the sun rise.  Acknowledge the wonderful trees giving oxygen to you as you go about your busy day.  Take some quiet time to listen to the language of the birds as they communicate with each other.
Try to find the secret beautiful places in your own town.  Search for them.  When you look for beauty, you will begin to notice it everywhere, even in yourself.
