Soy Free Vegenaise   1 comment

Follow Your Heart®, you did it!

Being a soy free vegan can be challenging, since most vegan meat and dairy substitutes are made from soy.  So when I heard that Follow Your Heart® created a soy free vegan mayonnaise, I knew I had to try it.  I am so glad I did!

When I was a dairy eater, I was very particular about my mayo, as most people are.  I only ate one kind, period.  So I have very high expectations for mayo.  And let’s be real here.  Sometimes vegan substitutes can be on the not so tasty side.  So, I’m not gonna’ lie, I was definitely anticipating a bland tasteless vegenaise when I tried FYH, but I was soooo wrong!  It is amazing!  I love it and here’s why.

First, it tastes like real mayonnaise.  Like I said, vegan substitutes can sometimes miss the mark, but not FYH’s.  If someone put this on my sandwich during my non-vegan days, I would have no idea it was vegan.  Second, it’s even better than mayonnaise!  I said it.  Better.  You know how when you go to a restaurant and they have a special gourmet mayo that they put on your meal?  Maybe it’s garlic aioli mayo, or chipotle mayo, or lemon ginger mayo…  Whatever it is, it’s just like a better, tastier version of regular mayo that you  usually ask for an extra side of.  Well, that’s what Follow Your Heart’s Soy Free Vegenaise tastes like.  That je ne sais quoi extra goodness, that you want an extra side of.

I don’t know how they did it, but they did.  It’s great on sandwiches, potato salads and as a dipping sauce.  I even mixed some ketchup with it and made an amazing dipping sauce.  Fantastico!

Follow Your Heart is in Canoga Park, Ca.   What?  You don’t live in SoCal like calivegans?  Well don’t you fret!  Follow Your Heart Soy Free Vegenaise, and other products, can be found in your local Whole Foods Market® or a number of other retailers near you.  Check out their store locator for details.

Try it out.  You won’t be disappointed!
